Junior Under 11's

Cawthorne Under 11's  were beaten by Wath in the final of the BDJCA Cup  played at Upper Haugh on Friday 27th August.

6 A-Side Competition

The Cawthorne C.C 6 A-Side shield was won by Chris Matthewmans Red Devils. They defeated Will Motts Blue Lightnings in the final after posting a total of 86 in there 10 overs they bowled out Will Motts side for 59 runs.

Outdoor Nets

Outdoor net practice will start on Tuesdays  @ 6.30pm for the Junior teams and on Thursday evenings @ 6pm for the senior teams. New  players  are always  welcome to come along.

Junior Players Wanted

Junior players are needed for the forthcoming season. The club have entered 2 teams into the Barnsley & District Junior League at Under 11& Under 13  age groups. If your son or daughter would like to play for Cawthorne or you know  of anyone looking to play cricket at any of these age groups please contact either Johnny Barker 07906 205547 or Paul Osborne 07851 614451

HCCL Awards Dinner

Cawthorne stole the show and collected 8 trophies at the league's dinner held at the Brooklands Hotel on Friday 5th March. The awards were presented by guest speaker Peter Bowler ex Derbyshire & Somerset for the following

  1. Premier League
  2. Premier League Batting - Adrian Wilford
  3. Premier League Bowling - Richard Greaves
  4. Tinker Cup
  5. Tinker Cup Man of the Match - Steven Roebuck
  6. H Whittaker Trophy Batting - Charles Mott Cawthorne B 146  v Denby Dale B, 27th June 2009, Sec B
  7. T Gill Trophy most six hits: - Liam Wiles 40
  8. H Robinson Trophy most improved ground - Cawthorne

30 Years Missing

The club are wanting to update the records of individual award winners but are missing 30 years from 1974 to 2004. We are appealing for anyone who has or knows the whereabouts of score books, hand books or committee meeting minutes or who knows the winners names from any of the afore mentioned years to contact John Armistead on john@cawthornecricketclub.co.uk
