CHANGING ROOM POLICY Cawthorne Cricket Club supports the ECB's child welfare and protection policy. It suggests that all junior players arrive at the venue changed and ready to play. It is hoped that many of our older and more able youth players will have the opportunity to play in a senior team during the course of the season. When participating in games with adults, youth players [U-16] should take their shower either before or after senior players, not at the same time. In addition the parent/guardian must ensure their children do not enter the changing rooms unaccompanied at anytime. Non playing children [U-16] must be supervised by their parent/guardian at all times. · Adults must not change or shower at the same time, using the same facility as children. · Adults should try to change at different times to children during matches (i.e. padding up) · Consent from the childrens parents must be given before children are allowed to share a changing room with adults. · If children play in adult teams their parents must be notified of the clubs policy on changing arrangements. · Mixed gender teams must have access to separate male and female changing rooms. · Mobile phones must not be used in changing rooms. · If a child is uncomfortable changing or showering at the club no pressure will be placed upon them to do so. Encourage them to change and shower at home. Date Adopted: 1/4/2009 |
